Griffin Mask by Foxfeather R. Zenkova

2004 - I sculpted the base of this mask, then painted and fully feathered it. It is wearable and you can see surprisingly well out of the nare (nose) holes. It's big enough to completely cover head and shoulders.
I do a limited number of custom masks each year. Email me - serious inquiries only.

Medium: mixed media
Tags: bird gryphon griffin raptor mask owl hawk Eagle
Chivalry in times of war by Kitsumi

I'll have prints available for this one at AC. I rather liked how it came out (croquill inks mostly, watercolors on arches hotpress), though the original cycled through a couple shows before someone finally gave it a home at Califur. I can't emphasize how much a difference quality watercolor paper can make. Though strangely enough, with each different type of paper, it's almost like learning watercolor all over again. I hear good paints make a big difference too (I'm using mostly a cotman student grade travel set).

Medium: watercolors ink croquill
Tags: fox Princess gryphon Griffon medieval falconry
